But in these situations, putting yourself down is more dangerous than anything.
Of course it's not something to be happy about, I don't know you nor the situation you're in, but the only thing I know for sure is that you shouldn't feel like shit when life is already shit. (Don't know if it make sense)
As said, I don't know you, so I don't know which solutions would be more appropriate.

Nah dude I'm a fucking shitheel. Most of that money was going to go to groceries so I could feed myself until payday, but now I've gotta starve til Tuesday. I'm an actual moron.
This is just another lesson, though. The lack of food will assist in letting that lesson sink in.
